Call of Duty 2019 might simply be named Modern Warfare

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4, the 2019 entry in the franchise, may simply be called Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

That’s not to be confused with the original Modern Warfare, formally named Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Got that?

The report comes from both Eurogamer and Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, both of which who’ve cited their own sources who say the weird naming convention is legit.

We’ve yet to hear about Call of Duty‘s 2019 edition from Activision Blizzard, but current rumours suggest we’ll have some official news on 30 May. After that, we’re likely to hear a lot more about the title at this year’s E3 in July.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is what we’re going to call the game to avoid confusion. Sound.
