BioWare’s next IP, Dylan, is a semi-MMO in the vein of Destiny, The Division

BioWare’s newest IP, Dylan, has been described as a “semi-MMO” with elements from Destiny and The Division by Did You Know Gaming’s Liam Robertson.

Robertson detailed Dylan in a podcast made available to his Patreon subscribers (as transcribed by IBTimes).

“This is a project that’s been in development for around four years, it’s currently set to be revealed at E3 2016… I don’t know if they’ve said this publicly, it’s set to come out next year,” Robertson said. “Its name right now is Dylan – there’s no other way to say it right now… as in Bob Dylan. I believe that relates to the main character.”

Robertson continued to describe Dylan, first hinted at in 2014, as a merger of popular “semi-MMO” style games.

Dylan is, from what I understand, a sci-fi themed game, it is sort of Destiny-style, takes some elements from The Division, it has like MMO elements,” Robertson said.

“Someone described it as a ‘semi-MMO’. I don’t know much more than that… it is a huge scale project, perhaps the biggest BioWare has ever done. It’s bigger than Mass Effect: Andromeda, considerably so. It will have co-op.”

We expect to find out more on BioWare’s next IP at E3 2017 this year. We’ll keep you posted.
