Warner Bros. Montreal, the team behind Batman: Arkham Origins, has reportedly scrapped a Suicide Squad game to focus instead on one with Batman’s sidekick (and son), Robin.
Kotaku says WB Montreal had been working on Suicide Squad for close to two years before its cancellation. Instead, development has shifted to a Robin title with Damian Wayne, the latest incarnation of the hero, as the lead.
Reports suggest Warner Bros. wasn’t happy with the way Suicide Squad was turning out, which may have had something to do with the lack of success achieved by Warner Bros.’ recent Suicide Squad film.
Warner Bros. Montreal said it was working on two new titles back in 2015. It’s unclear what the other title is.
