Rooster Teeth’s closure can’t stop the final Red vs Blue

Red vs Blue Restoration sees the return of Burnie Burns and Matt Hullum.

Not even news of Rooster Teeth’s closure can stop the final Red vs Blue adventure, Restoration, with longtime series mainstays Burnie Burns and Matt Hullum returning to see the series out.

“When the universe’s greatest villain returns in a terrifying new form, old adversaries, the Reds and Blues of Blood Gulch, will have to set aside their differences to save the galaxy one last time,” Rooster Teeth said as part of Restoration‘s new trailer.

“After a whopping 4-year break, the OG co-creator Burnie Burns is BACK in action! Teaming up with director Matt Hullum, they’re ready to bring the curtain down on over two decades of Red vs. Blue history.”

The series main cast — Geoff Ramsey, Gus Sorola, Joel Heyman, and more — will of course return as well.

Earlier this month, Warner Bros announced that it should shutter Rooster Teeth after 21 years of operation. The company is still in the process of winding down; the future of its IP —  including series like Red vs Blue and podcasts like ANMA, F*ckface, and more — is still unclear.

Red vs Blue Restoration will be available to purchase on digital platforms from 7 May. It will not appear on Warner Bros’ streaming service, Max.
