Rocksteady Suicide Squad game delayed into 2023

The Justice League will have to remain unkilled all this year...

The Rocksteady Suicide Squad game, full title Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League, has been delayed into 2023.

Studio head Sefton Hill made the announcement today, via Twitter.

“We’ve made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023,” Hill wrote. “I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience.”

The announcement follows a report back in February 2022 that claimed the game needed more development time.

Those itching for a DC Comics video game should be able to take some solace in the fact that WB Montreal’s Gotham Knights looks on track for a 2022 release. Even better, a recently spotted Steam beta means we might be able to play a portion of the title sooner than we think.

Players can expect Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PS5 sometime in 2023.
