Riot’s upcoming FPS likely called Valorant

Riot Games’ upcoming FPS, codenamed Project A, is likely to be named Valorant, new reports suggest.

First, RespawnFirst noticed a Riot trademark for the term Valorant, as well as a new Twitter account created with the same name. The account is already followed by a number of pro gamers and FPS influencers despite an overall lack of content.

Next, a single screenshot — above — was leaked (thanks to @ValorantTheGame), which suggests Valorant will share more in common with character-based FPS titles like Overwatch rather than simulators like Counter-strike.

Riot hasn’t confirmed if the screenshot is legitimate; we’ll of course keep you posted as we learn more about what Valorant is or isn’t.
