Rey Mysterio was today confirmed as a pre-order bonus for WWE 2K19, 2K today confirmed.
Mysterio is one of two characters who’ll be unlocked through pre-ordering, the publisher also detailed.
The former WWE Champion “will appear in WWE 2K19 as a playable character wearing ring gear reflective of his surprise appearance in the 2018 Royal Rumble,” 2K said.
“Since my WWE debut in 2002, ‘Never Say Never’ – the WWE 2K19 campaign theme – has been a big part of my career,” Mysterio himself said. “It is an honour to join the likes of Kurt Angle, Goldberg, Sting, Ultimate Warrior and Arnold Schwarzenegger as one of two WWE 2K19 pre-order playable characters.”
Those who grab WWE 2K19‘s Deluxe and Collector’s Edition alongside those who pre-order will gain access to Mysterio. Those who opt for the special editions will also gain four days of special early access to the game.
WWE 2K19 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 9 October.
