Respawn working on three Star Wars games for EA

The Force is strong with this studio.

Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order developer Respawn is hard at work on three different Star Wars titles for EA.

The titles include a Star Wars Jedi sequel, alongside a new Star Wars strategy title and a first-person shooter.

EA will start up a new studio for the strategy title, which will be lead by former Firaxis developer Greg Foertsch. His Bit Reactor studio will develop the title with production assistance from Respawn.

The first-person shooter in development will be overseen by original Star Wars Battlefront Executive Producer Peter Hirschmann.

“We are excited to continue working with the superbly talented teams at Respawn,” Douglas Reilly, VP of Lucasfilm Games, said in a press release. “They have demonstrated excellence in telling epic Star Wars stories along with best-in-class gameplay across different genres and we are looking forward to bringing more amazing experiences to the galaxy far, far away.”

“We are huge fans of Star Wars and we are thrilled to work with Lucasfilm Games on new titles that we have wanted to make for years,” added Respawn’s Vince Zampella. “If you want to make great Star Wars games, you should come join us on our journey.”

We’ll have more on the Star Wars titles as information becomes available.
