The game has also been confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One alongside current-gen consoles and PC.

The Resident Evil Village release date has been set for 7 May 2021, Capcom has today confirmed.

The PS4 version of the title will offer up a free upgrade to PS5, and the Xbox versions of the game will be supported by Xbox Smart Delivery, meaning it will work (and carry over progress) between systems.

Moreover, Capcom confirmed that pre-orders will go live today. Those who pre-order will receive a Mr Raccoon Weapon Charm and a Survival Assistance pack which includes health items, lockpicks and more. Those who pre-order via the PlayStation Store copies will also gain bonus pre-order items.
