Resident Evil Requiem is RE9, coming February 2026

Resident Evil Requiem is the official name of Resident Evil 9, and will arrive in late February 2026.

From the trailer above, Requiem will star a character named Grace Ashcroft  — the daughter of Resident Evil Outbreak‘s Alyssa Ashcroft — in something that looks like a detective thriller.

This Ashcroft is described as a “technical analyst”, and is charged to investigate strange occurrings at the same hotel her mother was murdered. That means that we’re heading back to Resident Evil‘s Raccoon City, folks!

Alyssa Ashcroft was mentioned in Resident Evil 7 — and Resident Evil Requiem will honour that iteration of the franchise by also featuring a first-person camera.

Resident Evil Requiem is the highly anticipated ninth title in the mainline Resident Evil series,” Capcom said of the title. “Prepare to escape death in a heart-stopping experience that will chill you to your core.”

We’ll have more on Resident Evil Requiem as news is made available. Expect the title from 27 February 2026 on Windows PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5.
