Resident Evil Netflix live-action TV series debuts 14 July

And it sounds... interesting.

The Resident Evil Netflix live-action TV series will debut 14 July, the streaming service has today confirmed.

As we’ve previously reported, the live-action series is different from the Resident Evil animated series that’s already featured on Netflix and instead will focus on the Weskers.

That’s right — plural. We’re not talking about the Wesker twins, sadly, but instead the family of longtime villain Albert Wesker. I know, right?

Destiny‘s Lance Reddick will start as Albert Wesker alongside Ella Balinska (Charlie’s Angels), Tamara Smart (The Worst Witch), Siena Agudong (No Good Nick), Adeline Rudolph (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) and Paola Nuñez (Bad Boys for Life).

It’s previously been reported that the show will take place twenty-six years after the creation of the zombie-making T-Virus.
