Free to those who already own the games!
Resident Evil current-gen updates are now available inside Xbox Series, PS5 and PC versions of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7.
Those who already own the titles will get the updates for free; otherwise, newcomers will just have to buy the titles as per usual.
“Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 biohazard are coming to new-generation consoles,” Capcom said in a statement alongside a new trailer.
“These three masterpieces developed using the RE Engine are back with cutting–edge features including ray tracing, high frame rate and 3D audio for an enhanced gameplay experience.”
Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 7 are currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4 and PS5. The current-gen upgrades don’t apply, of course, to Xbox One and PS4.
