Resident Evil 7: Xbox pre-orders now open, Capcom teases January demo update

There’s lot of Resident Evil 7 news today, with Xbox pre-orders opening up alongside rumours the game’s “Beginning Hour” demo will once again be updated in January.

First, those on Xbox One are able to pre-order the standard and deluxe versions of the game. In Australia, the standard version will set you back $99.95 AUD, while the deluxe edition costs $137.70 AUD. Both versions come with the game’s “Recovery Set” DLC, while the deluxe version also includes the game’s “Season Pass”.

Resident Evil 7 is already available for pre-order on PS4.

Today’s news is also accompanied by rumours that the “Beginning Hour” demo, already updated earlier in the month, will again get another update ahead of the game’s release in January.

ResidentEvil.fr (via ResidentEvil.com.br) reports that Capcom France has stated the demo will be updated “probably just before the release” of Resident Evil 7.

The site reports that the demo will also head to Xbox One and PC ahead of full release.

Resident Evil 7 heads to Xbox One, Windows PC and PS4, with support for PlayStation VR, on 24 January 2017.
