Resident Evil 7 heads to Nintendo Switch… sort of

A special version of Resident Evil 7 will be available on Nintendo Switch, provided you’re in Japan.

Called Resident Evil 7: Cloud Version, the entirety of RE7 — including its Banned Footage, End of Zoe and Not a Hero DLC — will be accessible on the Switch through cloud streaming.

The title heads to Japan this week on 24 May.

While it’s great news for those in Japan, a western release hasn’t been detailed. Switch users outside of Japan might be better off getting their fix on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Resident Evil 7 was released on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 back in 2017. The title is VR-capable on PlayStation VR.
