Resident Evil 7: “4D” blood-scented candle, real-life London haunted house announced

Not satisfied with the immersion of virtual reality, Capcom and its partners are amping it up for Resident Evil 7.

First, a “4D” candle with “foisty, old timber and blood” scents will soon be .

“The virtual reality experience is incredible, but we want to take you one step further than that,” said Merchoid’s Jessica Adams.

“While playing the game, imagine if you could smell everything you could see and hear. The game becomes incredibly immersive as it tricks all your senses into thinking that you’re really there.”

Next, Capcom has advised of “Resident Evil: The Experience”, an “immersive experience” that will take place in London, England between 20-23 January.

Entry is free, and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Resident Evil 7 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 (with PS VR support) on 24 January.
