Resident Evil 3 Remake won’t have multiple endings, Live Selection

Resident Evil 3 Remake won’t have multiple endings or Live Selection prompts found in the original game, Capcom has confirmed in a story given to Official PlayStation Magazine (via Reddit).

According to the story, Capcom improved the Nemesis using the AI developed for Mr X in the Resident Evil 2 RemakeNemesis was also created in real life to be scanned via photogrammetry, in a way similar to how the game’s protagonists, Jill Valentine and Carlos Olivera, have been based off real-world actors.

Moreover, locales like the Stagala petrol station, the Raccoon Press offices and hospital have been confirmed for inclusion, just has a sequence in which players will take over Carlos Olivera rather than Jill.

In terms of differences to the original, the RE3Make will not have multiple endings or Live Selection functionality. Moreover, Mercenaries mode has been dropped, likely due to the addition of Resident Evil: Resistance, the new 4v1 asymmetric multiplayer mode. It’s unclear if the game will offer up various epilogues like the original did.

Expect Resident Evil 3 Remake from 3 April 2020 on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
