Resident Evil 2 remake: Leon S. Kennedy’s original voice actor isn’t attached either

Original Resident Evil 2 Leon S. Kennedy voice actor, Matthew Mercer, has confirmed he will not be voicing the character in Capcom’s upcoming remake.

Mercer echoed the statement of Alyson Court, who voiced Claire Redfield in the original game, saying he had the “same experience as Allyson [sic] regarding this project.”

Last week, Court took to a series of videos to detail the Los Angeles-based localisation team who had decided to use non-union actors.

“As soon as they [the localisation company] won the contract, they informed me that, actually, they wouldn’t be needing my services as they were going non-union,” Court said.

Capcom has the Resident Evil 2 remake in the works, though a release date and available platforms have not been named.
