Resident Evil 2 Lickers feature in latest gameplay video

Resident Evil 2 Lickers have been upgraded like the rest of the game they’re in, and we’ve got a good, long, first look at the creatures in a new gameplay video.

The Lickers — yep, plural — feature in a Claire sequence that can be watched below. They’ve been upgraded visually, making the creatures look a little more human than their PSone counterparts. They also seem to be dependent upon sound to track prey… so be very, very quiet.

What do you make of the upgraded Lickers? Personally, I’m all for them. They’re absolutely terrifying.

Resident Evil 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 in January 2019. Capcom recently showed off Noir costumes as part of the game’s Collector’s and Deluxe Editions.
