You can reserve your Pokemon Go name in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Players of Pokemon Go and Ingress can today reserve their code name for usage in Harry Potter Wizards Unite, an upcoming game from developer Niantic Labs.

From now until 30 April, players can head to Niantic’s website in order to kick off the reservation process. Here’s how to do it:

  • Identify if you’d like to reserve your Ingress or Pokemon Go name
  • Log in to the service using the same method you currently use (ie: I use my Google account credentials inside Pokemon Go)
  • Confirm the name

When Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is live, you’ll have six months to login using the same method you’ve used above to claim the name.

For those unaware, Wizards Unite will play like Ingress and Pokemon Go. In it, players will work as a member of Statute of Secrecy Task Force, collecting by Foundables by dispelling Confoundable magic surrounding them.

Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is expected in 2019 on both iOS and Android; Android pre-registration is open here.
