Reports claim Just Cause 3 has performance issues on consoles

Reports of Just Cause 3 performance issues on consoles are coming in ahead of the game’s review embargo at 11.00 am AEDT today.

NX Gamer, via VideoGamer, says framerates on Xbox One drop to as low as 17fps, with loading screens sometimes taking up to 15 minutes. The site says the performance issues are a result of “memory leakages” that take place when the Xbox One clears out its RAM.

Meanwhile, The Games Cabin says similar issues occur in the PS4 version of the game. That site reports loading screens to take anywhere between 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

Both sites say the game goes into slow down when too much is occurring on the screen at once.

We have yet to see any reports of this nature affecting the PC version of the title.

Expect our review of Just Cause 3 — played on PC as recommended by Square Enix — this morning.
