Remedy signs with 505 Games to publish P7 on Xbox One, PS4, PC

Developer Remedy Games has signed on with 505 Games to publish its upcoming title, currently codenamed P7.

According to a press release, the pair have entered into “a new worldwide PC and console publishing agreement” to make P7 available in both digital and retail formats across PS4, Xbox One and PC, including Steam.

Not much of P7, or Project 7, is known. Remedy has confirmed that it’s a “cinematic third-person action game set in a new Remedy-created universe.” It will use Remedy’s Northlight engine, as did recent title Quantum BreakThe title was first hinted at back in June 2016, when Polygon described it as “the sum of the parts and discoveries made while experimenting in game creation with Alan Wake and Quantum Break.”

“We have a strong vision of what P7 should be,” CEO of Remedy Entertainment, Tero Virtala, said of the partnership. “505 Games brings into this partnership experience and competences that help us successfully make this vision become reality together. Remedy is also investing in P7 and is deeply committed to creating an unique gaming experience that will keep the players engaged and playing for a long time to come. We are really excited to embark on this journey with 505 Games.”

Remedy has also recently detailed it’s planning an IPO to take place next month in an effort to retain future IP.

We’ll have more on P7 as it is made available.
