Remedy ends content updates for FBC Firebreak with today’s Open House

"The game will remain online and fully playable," Remedy says.

Remedy has today delivered the last major content update for FBC Firebreak through its Open House update, available on all platforms right this second.

“The update introduces new arenas inspired by locations from Control in the Endless Shift game mode, gameplay and balance improvements, and Twitch Drops rewards,” Remedy said in a press release.

“The update also adds five new arenas inspired by locations from Control to the Endless Shift mode: Cafeteria, Aircon Room, Ranger HQ, Turntable, and Ritual Lobby” the studio continued. “It also includes a wide range of gameplay and balance improvements aimed at making combat clearer, smoother, and more flexible.”

Remedy has confirmed that FBC Firebreak will remain playable despite a lack of new major updates, and that the game will be on sale at 20% off over on Steam for the duration of the month. Most importantly, FBC Firebreak will offer up a Friend’s Pass, so you can have a friend join you using just one game purchase.

“FBC: Firebreak was built by a team fueled by passion and experimentation. That spirit shaped the game, but the moments that brought it to life were the ones that players created together,” said game director Mike Kayatta.

“We want to make sure those moments can continue for the players who are already here, and for anyone else looking for a high-energy, low-pressure game night with friends,” he continued. “That’s why the relay servers are staying up, the price is going down, and a Friend’s Pass is going in. From all of us on the team, thank you for your own passion and experimentation, and we’ll see you in there.”

FBC Firebreak is available on Windows PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PS5, also available on all tiers of Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.
