Reggie Fils-Aime: E3 2017 is going to be “a big time” for Nintendo Switch and 3DS

Nintendo is planning big things for both the Switch and the 3DS, according to Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils-Aime.

“E3 is always a big time for Nintendo. We look at each E3 as a unique opportunity to tell our story. And we’re gonna have a big E3 this year,” Fils-Aime told Fox News.

“We’re going to be showcasing a variety of games. We will have experiences for… consumers will be able to attend the show for the very first time. So I’m not gonna tell you all of the various games and all of our little secrets for E3, but I can tell you that E3 is going to be a major opportunity for us to showcase not only Nintendo Switch, but also content coming to Nintendo 3DS.”

Of late, Nintendo has scaled back its presence at E3, using pre-recorded Treehouse streams in place of press conferences. It remains to be seen how Switch and 3DS products will be showcased this year.

What titles do you hope to see announced at E3? Are you still wanting to game on your 3DS, or have you made the transition over to the Switch? If you’re on the fence about Nintendo’s latest console, we’ve reviewed it at length here.

E3 2017 runs between 13-15 June at the Los Angeles Convention Centre in California.
