Redfall locked at 30FPS on Xbox at launch

Say it ain't so!

Arkane’s upcoming Redfall will be locked to 30FPS — that’s 30 frames-per-second — at its launch on both Xbox Series S & X.

Over on Xbox Series S, players can expect 1440p gameplay at 30FPS, while on Xbox Series X, the title will run at 4K and 30FPS. Both options comprise the title’s “Quality” setting.

While a 60FPS “Performance” setting will become available to players, the option won’t be ready for launch.

60 FPS Performance mode will be added via game update at a later date,” Arkane said via tweet. It’s unclear when the mode will become available, post-launch.

We’ll of course keep you updated as we learn more.

Expect Redfall from 2 May on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X. The title will also be part of Xbox and PC Game Pass. We previewed it here.
