Red Dead Redemption PC release coming 29 October

Surprise!

Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare expansion will head to Windows PC on 29 October, Rockstar Games has today announced.

“In collaboration with Double Eleven, this new version brings John Marston’s beloved journey to PC in stunning, new detail,” Rockstar said in a press release.

The PC version of the classic title will support native 4K resolution and up to 144Hz on capable screens. It’ll also sport support for ultrawide and superwide monitors, and features upscaling support for NVidia DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0.

Take a look at what to expect from the PC version — which will be available on the Rockstar Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store — above.

I wasn’t so sold on Red Dead Redemption back in my original 2010 review, but let me tell you that Undead Nightmare absolutely won me over. I’m keen to revisit this one, 14 years later.

Red Dead Redemption is currently available on Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, and Switch. It heads to Windows PC on 29 October.
