Red Dead Online beta battle royale mode now available

A special Red Dead Online beta battle royale mode, Gun Rush, is now available to jump into.

In Gun Rush, up to 32 players will start in a single area and be tasked to gather weapons and ammunition in order to kill one another, all while the play area shrinks down. The mode is available in both free-for-all and team variations, and of course, the last person/team standing wins.

“More updates are coming soon including new Races and Showdown Modes and new clothing and emotes, as well as some additional changes based on player feedback,” Rockstar advised. As a result, “Red Dead Online will stay in beta for a few more months yet as we have many more new gameplay features to add across the board as well as further changes to improve, stabilize and refine the overall experience.”

Xbox One players now have access to items that were formerly PS4 exclusives. Those items include the Red Chestnut Arabian Horse, Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle and the High Roller Double-Action Revolver.

Red Dead Online is part of Red Dead Redemption 2, available now on Xbox One and PS4.
