Rainbow Six Siege Year 9 Season 1 brings new Operator, updates

We've got all the info here.

Rainbow Six Siege Year 9 Season 1 was recently detailed by Ubisoft, and we’ve got all the details you’re after here.

First, the update — titled Operation Deadly Omen — will bring one new Operator called Deimos, whom Ubisoft says is “a fearsome Attacker equipped with the DeathMARK Tracker Gadget.”

The tool “reveals the target’s precise location to Deimos until the gagdet’s time runs out, or one is killed,” Ubisoft continued. It’s a trade off, though, as its usage also reveals Deimos to his target.

“Deimos is a two speed, two health operator,” Ubisoft added. “His loadout features an AK-74M or a M5904A1 as a primary weapon, with a brand-new powerful revolver, .44 Vendetta, as a secondary weapon.”

Year 9 Season 1 will also bring a revamped Shield mechanic, updates to attachments and ADS, alongside balancing for Operator Azami.

Finally, the update will bring a new inventory system, called the Locker, which “will improve how players can manage their cosmetics, by allowing players to easily sort and view cosmetics they own,” Ubisoft said.

Expect Operation Deadly Omen in March.

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Amazon Luna.
