Rainbow Six Siege X is “a new era of… Siege”, according to Ubisoft

A big reveal is planned for next month.

Rainbow Six Siege X has today been announced by Ubisoft, which says the update will bring “a new era of Rainbow Six Siege”. Players can expect a big reveal on 14 March here in Australia.

“A new era of Rainbow Six Siege will be revealed… at the Siege X Showcase,” Ubisoft advised. “A teaser shown during the championship weekend of the Six Invitational offered glimpses of the biggest transformation in the game’s history, including graphical and audio upgrades, deepened tactical gameplay, and new ways to play the game.”

That trailer is below, while the update proper will air from 4.00 am AEDT on 14 March here in Australia, live from Atlanta, Georgia.

“Year 10 of Rainbow Six Siege will also kick off soon with the launch of the first season: Operation Prep Phase,” Ubisoft continued.

“A new Operator named Rauora will join the Attackers and use her D.O.M. Launcher to deploy bulletproof panels in doorways, helping her team reshape the battlefield and dictate the flow of combat,” said Ubisoft. “Rauora will be available at the start of the season with the Operation Prep Phase Battle Pass, and unlockable two weeks later with Renown or R6 Credits.”

Rainbow Six Siege is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, and Amazon Luna.
