Rainbow Six Siege M.U.T.E. Protocol limited time event on now

The Rainbow Six Siege M.U.T.E. Protocol limited time event is on now and runs through August, Ubisoft has recently declared.

Available from today until 17 August, the 5v5 mode will task attackers to shutdown the titular M.U.T.E. Protocol via any means necessary.

“41 Operators will be available to play, with a few exceptions for gameplay reasons: Twitch, Thatcher, Mozzie, Mute, Maestro, Valkyrie, Dokkaebi, Echo, Goyo, Clash, Montagne, Blitz and Caveira won’t be available,” Ubisoft advised.

The new mode also revolves around a brand-new feature called morphing.

“On the attacking side, players will have to secure two areas, and will be able to switch between Operator and Drone forms by entering and exiting Observation Tools,” Ubisoft continued. “On the defending side, Operators will be able to use bulletproof cameras to travel digitally through the network.”

The event comes with 26 items including customisations for the likes of Jackal, Lion, Ying, Kapkan, Mira, Mute, Oryx and Vigil.
