Rainbow Six Mobile heads to iOS, Android in 2022

In a title build from the ground up, with mobile play in mind.

Rainbow Six Mobile was today announced by Ubisoft, planned for a 2022 release on iOS and Android devices.

Rainbow Six Mobile has been developed and optimised for mobile with shorter matches and game sessions,” Ubisoft said of the newly announced title.

“Customise the game’s controls in the HUD to fit your playstyle and level of comfort to play on the go,” it continued. “Plus, new players can get accustomed to the tactical gameplay with a comprehensive player onboarding.”

The handheld version of the popular PC and console tactical shooter will include maps like Bank and Border, and will offer up game modes including Secure the Area and Bomb.

“Compete in Rainbow Six’s core game mode: Attack vs. Defense – best of 3 rounds,” Ubisoft’s statement continued. “Play as an Attacker or Defender in fast-paced 5v5 matches and face intense close-quarter combat while making timely tactical decisions. Choose from a roster of highly trained Operators, each with their own unique abilities and gadgets. Experience the acclaimed tactical shooter, designed exclusively for Android and iOS.”
