Quick-start Wii U firmware update 5.0.0 goes live

The Wii U’s 5.0.0 update went live today, bringing quick-start functionality to the console.

The new functionality means you can get into a game before the console finishes booting itself up.

The update also includes new notification options and alerts.

The download should be available to download now.
