Queer Games Festival 2024 Showcase features 70+ games

And you can check them out now!

The Queer Games Festival 2024 Showcase is on now and offers up more than 70 queer games for your enjoyment.

“There really is something for everyone in this year’s festival,” organisers declared. “There are WLW ghost stories, queer bitsy poetry games, gay furry dating novels, ace coming-of-age tales, middle age trans stories, lesbian platformers (OK, there’s only one but it’s an amazing one), slice-of-life point-and-clicks, and experimental art games that revel in just being, well, queer!”

All the titles are listed here if you’re down for a browse.

“If we had to highlight one trend for this year it would be the increasing professionalism of queer games,” organisers continued. “We’re seeing more and more LGBT developers making a career and a business out of their games. The quality is through the roof this year.”

Results of an accompanying developer survey also detailed that queer devs considered itch.io the most supportive platform for queer games — which really shouldn’t be a surprise as most of the games in the showcase itself are hosted on that very platform.

Next up for the Queer Games Festival 2024 is shortlisting of titles, followed by the reveal of big winners on 7 October.
