PUBG’s Brendan Greene doesn’t want any GOTY awards

PUBG’s Brendan Greene says he’s not interested in winning any Game of the Year (GOTY) awards.

“Personally, I don’t want to win a Game of the Year award,” he said, point blank, to IGN.

“While I would love to win it for the team, I think this year there have been far better games,” Greene added, referencing both The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Calling them both, “masterpieces of game design and storytelling, he said, “they’re just wonderful, wonderful games… I think they will probably win it. I would hope they would win it.”

Today, it was revealed both PUBG’s Xbox One release and PC 1.0 update are scheduled for December.

PUBG is available now on Windows PC.
