Double Fine’s Tim Schafer has taken to a Reddit AMA to talk Psychonauts 2. In it, Schafer revealed the game takes place mere hours after the original.
Protagonist Raz is only “a few hours older” than last time, Schafer revealed, also offering up more about the game’s plot.
“While Truman Zanotto was missing, several changes to the direction of the organization were made by his second in command. Funding was cut from traditional psychic research and peacekeeping, and redirected to unorthodox, fringe endeavors, including the discredited practice of necromancy.”
Double Fine today confirmed that the original Psychonauts will be available on the PS4 in case you’d like to catch up on the story.
