Prince of Persia Twitter account has fans hopeful of new announcement

A recently discovered Prince of Persia Twitter account has series fans hopeful for a new announcement from July’s Ubisoft Forward event.

The account — much like recently discovered Fable and Perfect Dark accounts via Microsoft — has been registered using an official Ubisoft email address. While Ubisoft has yet to comment on this specific account, Microsoft has already said that its two Twitter accounts were set up as “standard practice” in order to ensure the accounts were in the publisher’s hands.

What do you make of this account — is Ubisoft merely protecting the Prince of Persia IP, or do you think a new game is on the horizon? We’ve asked the publisher for comment.

Ubisoft Forward is scheduled to take place at 5.00 am AEST on 13 July, so we won’t have long to find out. Far Cry 6 reveal has also been rumoured for the event.
