Prince of Persia Sands of Time remake won’t be at E3 2021

You'll have to be patient...

Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake will not be featured at E3 2021, Ubisoft has today declared.

The news came by way of a tweet by developers Ubisoft Pune and Ubisoft Mumbai.

“Ubisoft Forward is around the corner and we wanted to use this time to thank you for the amount of support you have shown us in the past year,” the update begins. “As you might have already ready, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake will not be in Ubisoft Foward. We are making great progress for our game to release next year, but we are not ready to share any additional information just yet. We will share an update as soon as we are ready.”

Originally scheduled for January 2021, the remake was delayed to March 2021 before being delayed indefinitely back in February of this year. Upon its announcement back in September 2019, the title was criticised for its cartoonish, dated look.

Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake is planned for Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.

Ubisoft Forward is currently scheduled for 5.00 am AEST on 13 June.
