Prince of Persia remake spotted on retail website

Update: Hours before Ubisoft Forward, Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake has appeared on the Russian version of uPlay, as posted to ResetEra.

We’re likely to find out more about the remake early Friday morning when Ubisoft Forward premieres.

Original story: Prince of Persia remake has been spotted on Spanish-language retailer Max Stores’ website, proving that Ubisoft can’t ever catch a break when it comes to big reveals.

The listings appear to have first been spotted by Twitter’s KenXyro, who screenshotted listing for both PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

The listings have since been removed.

Ubisoft has yet to comment on the listings, but the publisher has already confirmed that a second Ubisoft Forward livestream has been planned for September. If you ask us, that new livestream would provide a perfect opportunity to detail a new Prince of Persia title. Prince of Persia Twitter account was spotted back in July, which only adds credence to this story.

The last game in the Prince of Persia franchise was a reboot on Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2008. We really liked that one — would you like this new game to continue that timeline or go back to the franchise’s classic roots?
