Pokemon Unite a 5v5 MOBA-style gaming heading to Switch, mobile

Pokemon Unite is a MOBA-like game coming to Switch, iOS and Android, The Pokemon Company announced overnight.

Created in partnership with Tencent Games and TiMi Studios, the title is a 5v5 team-based title where player-controlled Pokemon will travel battle lanes to fight other Pokemon. Pokemon Unite is “now in development” and will be “free-to-start” without any real idea of when it will be available, or what those additional purchases will entail.

You can watch the full, 11-minute presentation below alongside a shorter, three-minute trailer/hype vehicle.

We’ll have more on Pokemon Unite as it is made available. The title is planned for Switch, iOS and Android devices.
