Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion news coming later today

Pokemon Sword and Shield expansion news will come later today, kicking off at 11.00 pm AEST tonight, 2 June, here in Australia.

We’re unsure what to expect later this evening, but it’ll certainly expand on the details we already know about the two already-announced Pokemon Sword and Shield expansions. Back in January 2020, we were told the expansions will add over 200 Pokemon that weren’t included in the game’s cut back Pokedex, alongside new areas themselves.

We also already know that the first expansion, Isle of Armor, should be available later this month, with the second expansion, Crown Tundra, following later this year. Both expansions are available through an Expansion Pass, priced at $29.99 USD or $45.00 AUD. Pre-orders of the Expansion Pass will net you a new outfit alongside a Galarian Slowpoke that can be evolved into Slowking or Slowbro.

We’ll keep you informed as we learn more. Pokemon Sword and Shield is currently available on Nintendo Switch.
