Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansions, and everything announced at today’s Pokemon Presents

Lots on!

A special Pokemon Presents livestream aired overnight, and included news of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet expansions.

Called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, the expansion actually comes in two parts. The Teal Mask is expected in the Australian springtime, while The Indigo Disk will follow at an as yet unannounced time.

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero includes a New Uniform Set, made up of new apparel items that you can use at once in your Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game, and two DLC expansions,” Nintendo and The Pokemon Company advised. “While this tale is split into two parts, they link together to tell a connected story.”

A trailer for the expansions is below.

The livestream also covered a new live event for Scarlet and Violet in which new Paradox Pokemon will feature: Walking Wake in Scarlet and Iron Leaves in Violet.

The stream also showed off Pokemon Sleep, a sleep tracking app that can be paired with an optional real-life Plus+ to have Pikachu sing you to sleep, and Pokemon Concierge, a new stop-motion animation series that will appear on Netflix. The trailer for that series can be found below.

“Introducing Pokémon Concierge, a new collaboration between Pokémon and Netflix featuring stop-motion animation by dwarf studio,” The Pokemon Company said. “Follow Haru, a worker at the Pokémon Resort, and Psyduck as they meet Pokémon and Trainers on vacation!”

You can watch the full Pokemon Presents below.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is currently available on Nintendo Switch.
