Pokemon Home release date set for February 2020

The Pokemon Home release date has been scheduled for next month, February 2020.

Game Freak made the announcement at today’s Pokemon Nintendo Direct, though the app’s specific release date wasn’t detailed.

The app is the newest iteration of the Pokemon Bank and will allow players the opportunity for cloud-based Pokemon storage and transfer to the Switch’s Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Users will also be able to transfer already-obtained older Pokemon from titles/apps including Pokemon Bank, Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee and Pikachu and Pokemon Go into Sword and Shield. The only catch is that you’ll only be able to transfer Pokemon are available that are available in-game (or will be added via Sword and Shield’s newly announced Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra expansions).

We’ll have more on Pokemon Home as details are made available.
