Pokémon Gold and Silver are headed to the 3DS Virtual Console

Pokémon Gold and Silver are heading to the 3DS Virtual Console, Nintendo today announced.

Available from 22 September, the pair of titles will also be compatible with the Pokémon Bank service.

Pokémon Gold and Silver were first released on the Game Boy Colour, then followed up with a DS release in the form of Pokémon HeartGold and SouldSilver. The second generation of Pokémon were introduced with the titles.

Today, Nintendo also confirmed Pokkén Tournament DX for Switch and Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon for 3DS.
