Pokemon Go support for iPhone 5, 5C to end in February

Pokémon Go will soon drop support for iOS devices that aren’t running Apple’s iOS 11 operating system.

This means that iPhone 5 and 5C devices, or older, will no longer be capable of running the popular mobile title when support is removed on 28 February 2018.

Niantic explained the “is a result of improvements to Pokémon Go that push the application beyond the capabilities of the operating systems on such devices.”

The publisher advised that players keen to keep playing either upgrade their iPhone or switch to a supported Android device.

Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android.
