Pokémon Go: Players believe some Pokémon are region-locked

Pokémon Go users believe they’ve narrowed down a listing of region-locked Pokémon in the game.

Region-locked Pokémon appear to be as follows:

  • Tauros: USA, (Canada?)
  • Kangaskhan: Australia, (New Zealand?)
  • Mr. Mime: Europe
  • Farfetch’d: Asia

Users in Canada and New Zealand have said they’ve caught Tauros and Kangaskhan, respectively, and others around the world say they’ve hatch the region-locked from eggs.

If egg hatching isn’t your thing, we believe you’ll be able to trade in-game quite soon. Stock up on those region-locked Pokémon, Aussies — they may be quite valuable very soon.
