Pokémon Go: Here’s how to get Pikachu as your starter

While most of us are already neck-deep in Pokémon Go, those who haven’t loaded up the game might want to do so and take Pikachu along for the ride as their starter.

When starting Pokémon Go. you’re presented with three starter options: Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur. Turns out, if you ignore those three and walk around for anywhere between 10-45 minutes, you’ll eventually be presented with a fourth option: Pikachu.

You’ll keep having the original three Pokémon spawn around the map as you walk around, but just ignore them until you see Pikachu. Then, nab the cute little guy!

Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android devices. Our full guide is here.
