Pokemon Go Halloween event on now

A Pokemon Go Halloween event is on now, putting the spotlight on Dark- and Ghost-type Pokémon.

The event will offer players the chance at limited time Special Research that highlights new, Generation 4 Pokémon of the spooky variety — think Drifloon and Stunky. Additionally, Giratina will appear in Raid battles.

Moreover, double Candy will be offered for each Pokémon caught during the event, which runs until 7.00am AEDT on 2 November.

For those with Coins to spend, the Pokémon Go shop will also offer up spooky items like Ghost-type Pokémon avatar items. We’ve got our eyes on a Gengar backpack.

For more, you can head to developer Niantic’s blog.

Pokémon Go is available now on iOS and Android devices.
