Pokémon Go: Fixes intended for battery drain, location issues; game to be released in other regions soon

Pokémon Go developer Niantic Labs has identified a series of issues that it intends to resolve.

First is the game’s excessive battery drain, noticable to players on both iOS and Android devices.

Niantic also intends to improve GPS accuracy and stability, suggesting that a strong 3G, 4G or Wi-fi connection should work in the interim. Niantic also suggests that location services and GPS tracking are set to high-accuracy on your device.

Moreover, the Wall Street Journal reports that the game will head to UK, Canada, Europe and Japan “within days”. It’s currently available in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
