Pokémon Go: More data mining shows new Incense, Legendary access

Pokémon Go looks set to receive new types of Incense alongside the actual availability of Legendary Pokémon Mewtwo, according to a new data mining effort.

This data mine is the work of Redditor cokuspocus, who says that the following items have been uncovered in the game’s code:

  • “Item_incense_spicy”
  • “Item_incense_cool”
  • “Item_incense_floral”
  • “activity_catch_legend_pokemon”

The first three items seem to suggest we’ll soon have specific types of Incense, used to attract specific types of Pokémon. The latter item is similar to the game’s normal hook — “activity_catch_pokemon” — but with the obvious Legendary twist. There are also other new hooks that refer to in-game Forts.

Nothing’s been confirmed by Nintendo or developer Niantic, but we’ll keep you in the loop.
