Pokémon Go: Catching a Legendary Pokémon could earn you $5,000 USD

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not is offering up to $5,000 USD to the Pokémon Go player who first catches the rarest Pokémon.

Called Ripley’s Go, the contest is open to those in the USA, the UK, Canada and Australia — and there are conditions.

First, the grand prize will be awarded to the player who catches the first Legendary — or, failing that, the rarest Pokémon — at a Ripley’s Pokéstop. Players will also need to take an AR-enabled screenshot of the catch and post it to Twitter or Instagram.

Australia’s only Ripley’s Believe It Or Not is located on the Gold Coast.
