Pokémon Go: 80 new Pokémon to be added from Gold and Silver

Niantic has today confirmed that 80 new Pokémon from Pokémon Gold and Silver will soon be added to Pokémon Go.

Among the new Pokémon are Totodile, Chikorita and Cyndaquil, with Niantic revealing they won’t be exclusively hatched from eggs.

Moreover, the update — heading to Android and iOS devices “later this week” — will allow for existing Pokémon to be evolved to their Gold and Silver Johto region equivalents. Two new Berries will also be introduced: the Nanab Berry slows Pokemon movement and the Pinap Berry doubles Candy.

We’ll let you know when the Pokémon Go update is available.
